Gateway Cabinetry is committed to building responsibly. We take deliberate steps to protect the environment as well as the air quality of your home or business. The following outlines some of the initiatives we have put in place to ensure

• Sustainably harvested wood – To ensure protection of this precious resource, Gateway Cabinetry promotes the use of domestic lumber products that come from sustainable, managed forests.
• Safe plywood – We promote the use of construction sheet goods material that is low-formaldehyde or no urea added formaldehyde (NAUF) to protect your air quality in your home or work environment.
• Low-VOC finishes – We use low-VOC (volatile organic compound) finishes exclusively to avoid off-gassing. All our finishes are family friendly and safe.
• Energy-saving measures – We use energy-saving, high-efficiency LED bulbs to light our workspaces.
• Efficient planning with raw materials – We aim to be highly efficient with the new material we use. We plan each project and cut list as exact as we can so we are able to order just enough material to ensure waste is reduced to the absolute minimum.
• GREENGUARD certified glue – Gateway Cabinetry exclusively uses GREENGUARD certified Wilsonart woodworking glue. Our Wilsonart glue has been through rigorous, independent, third-party emissions testing by GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) and Wilsonart is the first manufacturer to have its glue awarded GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification.
• Personal Recycling – On all Gateway Cabinetry work sites, recycling bins for plastics, cardboard, paper and cans are available for employee use.
